Saving Your Work in MSW Logo

When you save your session using the SAVE "<fileName> command, or File/Save, or File SaveAs... MSW Logo saves all of your PROCEDURES. It does NOT save the random commands you may have issued during the session, ONLY the PROCEDURES you defined are saved. You should also note that when you exit the Editor Window MSW Logo asks if you want to save your changes. This action saves to memory. It does NOT save to disk.

Saving as a Command in the Input Box:
STEP 1 - Click in the Input Box to make it active.
STEP 2 - Choose an appropriate file name. eg MyFile.lgo
STEP 3 - Type in SAVE "MyFile.lgo and then press the Enter key. MSW Logo will save your file in the directory: C:\MSWLOGO

NOTE 1: It is not essential that you add the ".lgo" extension, but if you do, MSW Logo will automatically list your file along with all the other MSW Logo files when you use the LOAD command next time. If you don't add the ".lgo" extension, remember to to change the "File of type:" setting to All files (*.*) next time you try to LOAD the file.

Saving via the Menus:

If you use the menus to save your work you have more control over where the file is saved.

From the File menu choose Save, or SaveAs... and follow normal file saving procedures. Remember to add the ".lgo" filename extension.

NOTE 2: MSW Logo saves files in simple TEXT format. You could use any wordprocessor to open a MSW Logo file.
